Can you smell gas?
Make it safe first: do not use switches, flames or anything that sparks, open doors and windows, turn the gas off at the meter if you can do so safely, and leave if the smell is strong or anyone feels unwell. Call 000 if it is life-threatening, then call ATCO to report the leak. ATCO run the WA gas network.
Once it is safe, call us on (08) 6011 1561 and our licensed gas fitters will attend and repair it.
Where gas leaks usually come from
Most leaks are at a fitting, a corroded section of line, or an appliance connection, rather than the middle of a sound pipe. We check the likely points first.

- Regulators
- Meter fittings
Older copper gas lines can corrode, and connections can loosen over time; appliance hoses and bayonet fittings are common culprits too.
We repair where the line is otherwise sound and replace a section where it is not, so the fix lasts.
Pressure-tested and certified
We pressure-test the repaired system and issue a compliance certificate, so you have proof the gas work is safe and signed off.
Certification matters for safety, for insurance, and when you sell or lease. We provide it as standard on gas work.
How long the gas is off depends on the repair, and we keep that window as short as we safely can.
