The short answer: An electric oven or cooktop must be connected to the right circuit by a licensed electrician. We handle like-for-like swaps and first installs, tested and certified.

Many ovens and most cooktops are hardwired, not plugged in, which is electrical work. We connect them to the right circuit and check the connection.

Why does an induction cooktop often need its own circuit?

Induction and larger cooktops can draw a lot of current, so they usually need a dedicated circuit sized to the appliance, not the old oven point.

An old oven point may not be rated for a new induction cooktop. We check the appliance rating and provide a circuit that suits it.

Getting this right is what keeps the cooktop running safely at full output without nuisance tripping.
